The conflict between residents, animal rights activists and RWA is often quoted as a perennial problem. All sides have strong views and nobody really backs off leading to a situation where stray dogs are not sterilized and inoculated humanely, leading to several problems. While in some cases RWA are able to resolve such issues in other cases the situation often turns ugly.
URJA has constituted a working group including Animal rights activists, NGOs and spirited citizens to build consensus between all stakeholders so that the policy as per law to control stray dog population is implemented by the Government in a proper and time bound manner.
